NBC's Today Show Recommends muvee autoProducer for Fast, Easy and Fun Video Editing for the Whole Family

Breakthrough consumer video editing software enables anyone to create and share compelling video completely automatically

Singapore –– May 30, 2003 – muvee Technologies is proud to announce that NBC’s Today Show has recommended muvee autoProducer video editing software for fast, easy and fun home video creation that the whole family can enjoy. In the Today Show’s May 30 segment on “Encouraging your little Spielberg”, news anchor, Ann Curry, chatted with James Oppenheim, Technology Editor of www.toyportfolio.com, for his insight on video editing tools that nurture creativity in children and help them make their own home movies.

muvee autoProducer and one of our technology licensees were prominently highlighted as Oppenheim’s video editing software choices, for their ease of use and ability to completely automate the editing process. muvee autoProducer’s user-friendly interface has only six key buttons. Users simply input their raw video, add in their choice of music and select a style from the program’s built-in list of 24 fun styles, each with its own unique set of effects and transitions. The software analyzes these elements, throwing out low quality video and selecting key scenes, before automatically editing the raw footage to the length of the music, complete with effects and transitions, and synchronized to the rhythm of the music. The finished muvees can then be saved in a variety of different formats for DVD creation, or sharing via e-mail and the Web.

According to Oppenheim, who is a regular contributor to the Today Show, “The easiest step to make a movie is not to have to do any editing at all. With this software, all you have to do is load in your video from the camera, tell it what [style] you want to use and it will automatically make the movie for you. It does all the editing and puts it all together. There [are] also special effects, which is a lot of fun.”

Pete Kellock, founder and CEO of muvee Technologies, said, “We are thrilled at having been featured on the top-rated ‘Today Show’, as it has enabled us to reach out to a large proportion of our target audience. We’ve always believed that everyone – from kids to grandparents – should be able to create cool videos to share with friends and family, and that this need not be an expensive, difficult or time-consuming affair. By making muvee autoProducer faster, easier and much more fun to use than conventional video editing tools, we have pioneered a whole new approach to casual desktop video production, and we want to share this with everyone.”

muvee autoProducer DVD Edition, the latest automatic video editing product from muvee Technologies, is now available for direct download at $59.95 from www.muvee.com.
