Gerry Purd from MobileTrax. Panel members will focus on the latest imaging and video applications for mobile which have been driving the digital imaging sector of the economy.
“Since the world’s first phone capable of video recording, pixels have increased 150 times, whereas mobile CPUs have only grown 10 times,” said Terence Swee, CEO, muvee. “We are 15 times less able to crunch pixels in today’s video camera phone than we were when this started. Going forward, we expect to see lots more innovation in the area of mobile video from capturing, storing, editing to sharing.”.
In addition to speaking, Swee will be demonstrating muvee DSG’s latest mobile applications and toolkit for Google’s Android platform, including 3D and HD video editing tools.
“muvee started building automatic video editing apps for Nokia in 2004, along with in-app purchase of additional editing templates that we call styles,” Swee said. “In hindsight, we were a few years ahead of our time. But today, apps are an unstoppable engine of growth, and muvee is uniquely positioned to capitalize on our rich technical and business experience in this space and continue to be leaders in multimedia apps for mobile.”
