muvee autoProducer Automatic Editing Software Included with HP's DVD Movie Writer dc3000
Singapore –– September 23, 2003 – muvee autoProducer, the pioneering automatic video production software for the PC, will be featured as part of the software suite bundled with the HP DVD Movie Writer dc3000.
The HP DVD Movie Writer – the first of its kind in the industry – is an enhanced external CD/DVD burner that enables consumers to convert analog content on VHS tapes into MPEG-2 files on a home PC, which can then be easily transformed into professional-looking, DVD-ready productions using the award-winning muvee autoProducer software.

Underlying muvee autoProducer's user-friendly, 6-button interface is patent-pending “Artistic Intelligence” technology, which dramatically simplifies the video production process by incorporating many of the rules and conventions of professional video editing. muvee autoProducer supports a variety of formats, including DV-AVI, MPEG-1 and MPEG-2, so it can easily be used with most video files. Users simply add in their video, choose some music, and select a creative editing style from the built-in list. muvee autoProducer then analyzes these elements to pick out key scenes and discard low-quality video, before automatically synchronizing highlights of the footage – complete with effects and transitions – to the length, rhythm and mood of the chosen music. In minutes, a professional-looking music video, known as a “muvee”, is ready to be saved and shared with family and friends in a number of formats, including DV, AVI, WMV, MPEG-1 and high-quality MPEG-2 files, which can be authored onto DVD media using the HP DVD Movie Writer dc3000.
