muvee autoProducer DVD Edition Awarded 4 Stars by PC Magazine
Fast, fun and easy video editing software lets anyone automatically create their own MTV-style videos in a snap
Singapore –– April 30, 2003 – muvee Technologies, the pioneer in smart automatic video production, today announced that its groundbreaking video editing software, muvee autoProducer DVD Edition, has received a four-star rating from leading technology publication, PC Magazine.
The review, by PC Magazine’s Contributing Editor, Jan Ozer, appears in the May 6, 2003 issue of the publication, and is available online at www.pcmag.com/article2/0,4149,1020102,00.asp.
“Imagine that you could hire an MTV video producer to edit your vacation video or other family footage and synchronize it to your favorite music. That, in a nutshell, is the premise behind muvee autoProducer DVD Edition,” said Ozer. “We tested with different videos, including footage from Zoo Atlanta and shots from a seminar. The Zoo Atlanta results were fantastic…It’s a fun tool to have on your DV workbench.”
Pete Kellock, founder and CEO of muvee Technologies, said, “We are delighted that muvee autoProducer DVD Edition has been given four stars from PC Magazine, which is read by consumers all over the world. This review is testament to our technology, which proves that creating cool videos to share with friends and family need not be an expensive, tedious or time-consuming affair. We made muvee autoProducer faster, easier and much more fun to use than conventional video editing tools because we want to open the doors to a whole new genre of casual desktop video production.”
muvee autoProducer DVD Edition features an uncluttered and user-friendly interface with only six key buttons. Users input raw video in AVI, MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 file formats, or they can capture directly from a digital camcorder via FireWire. They can then add WAV or MP3 music, before selecting a style from the program’s built-in list of 24, each with its own unique set of effects and transitions. There is also an option to include a title and end credits. muvee autoProducer then analyzes all these elements before automatically editing the raw footage to the length of the music, complete with effects and transitions based on the chosen style, timed in sync to the rhythm of the music. The finished muvee can then be saved in a variety of different formats, including MPEG-2 for SVCD- or DVD-creation.
muvee autoProducer DVD Edition is now available from www.muvee.com at $59.95.
