muvee to Present Framework for Autonomous Testing at Second Annual Google Test Automation Conference

Singapore and New York – August 21, 2007 – muvee, the pioneer and leader in instant home movies, will present its muvee Framework for Autonomous Testing (muFAT) at the exclusive Second Annual Google Test Automation Conference (GTAC), held in New York on August 23 and 24, 2007. muFAT, an innovative test automation framework that significantly streamlines the test automation process, is designed to simultaneously perform various aspects and levels of automated testing without the need for separate data sets, test environments and testing tools .

Posting on Google’s Testing Blog at http://googletesting.blogspot.com/2007/03/2nd-annual-google-test-automation.html, Allen Hutchison, engineering manager at Google, said, “Some of the most difficult challenges in creating great software are guaranteeing it works every time, for every customer, ensuring that it will scale well, and making it accessible to all users. While there are many good solutions for automated testing, there is plenty of room for innovation. Our goal is to create a collegial atmosphere where participants can discuss challenges facing people on the cutting edge of test automation, evaluate solutions for meeting those challenges, and have a little fun.”

muvee’s unified framework provides a single interface for testing that can be reused by software development and qualification professionals alike, regardless of the level of abstraction they are working at. This facilitates communication amongst those working on the quality aspect of the software by allowing them to report and resolve bugs in a technically comprehensive manner.

“ muvee’s applications have multiple implementation layers, and we’ve been constrained by the limited scope of existing testing tools. Developing our own testing framework lets us conduct a more comprehensive range of automated tests so we can create more robust products for our users while saving resources, time and money,” said Ali-Akber Saifee, software engineer at muvee, who will be presenting at the conference.
