muvee and MTV Asia Spice Up User-Generated Video with 'Film A Clip, Win The Trip' Online muvee-Making Contest
Top muvee-makers win tickets to the 2007 MTV Movie Awards in Hollywood
Singapore and New York –– March 13, 2007 – muvee, the pioneer and global leader in automatic video editing, has partnered with MTV Networks Asia to launch an online muvee-making contest in anticipation of the 2007 MTV Movie Awards. Registered MTV members in Singapore can enter the contest, sponsored by Kinder Bueno, at www.mtvasia.com/movieawards by submitting a combination of short video clips and pictures of their fun and quirky moments for remixing into a muvee.
In 3 steps, MTV members upload up to 100MB of their video clips and/or pictures, select a music track and choose a themed style from the collection of 10 styles provided at the contest site. They can also give their muvee a title and end credits before clicking ‘Make muvee’. muvee’s back-end web service then automatically creates a slick, MTV-style music video by cutting highlights of the user’s footage to the beat of the music, with synchronized visual effects based on the chosen style. Finished muvees are posted to the site’s online gallery for member voting, and 4 grand prize winners will walk away with a 3-day, 2-night trip to attend MTV’s Movie Awards in Los Angeles.
