What are Pan and Zoom Effects
The Pan and Zoom effect is also known as the Ken Burns effect. It allows you to focus on certain elements of your still image, such as zooming in on a person’s face, or scenery. You can enhance an area of an image or photograph and create movement, evoke emotional storytelling experiences by creating motion videos out of a single still image by panning across, and zooming in and out of that focus area in the still image.
This technique was named after Ken Burns, an American Director who first used this technique in his seminal documentary of the the America Civil War (The Civil War, 1990) where he had only archival photos to work with.
